R & I is our take on the British Style Barleywine. Deep orange in color with ruby highlights; boasting rich, bold aromatics reminiscent of toasted nuts, leather, & caramelized figs, followed by a full palate, flush with flavors of caramel, honey, toffee, & tobacco. Brewed with Maris Otter, Dark Crystal & Amber Malts all from Thomas Fawcett & Son in Castleford, West Yorkshire, England, hopped with classic East Kent Goldings and fermented with a traditional yeast strain sourced from the Adnam's Brewery in Southwold, Suffolk, England. Despite it's stature and intense flavor profile, R&I finishes surprisingly dry and clean.

Pours hazy deep mahogany into a tulip. Tan head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Dark caramel covered apple and hot molasses aromas. Medium bodied with hot caramel, bubblegum, dark pit fruit, and pie crust upfront turning to earthy hops in the lasting finish.

Sipped while watching Yellowstone. Lighter cherry amber and decent sized head to boot. Nose is caramel and dark fruits. Tastes caramel, fig, orange marmalade, licorice, brown sugar. Dry and fruity. Nice
