The sole goal of this Pre-prohibition Style Lager is simply to pay homage to a time when lager was more thoughtful and more robustly flavorful. It was built around a historically accurate ratio of 6-row barley and raw blue corn. The resulting wort was bittered with noble hops and fermented slowly with an American lager yeast before undergoing a full 6 week cold-conditioning period. Capturing natural carbon dioxide from fermentation contributes to a higher level of carbonation. Look for a subtle American lager fruitiness, an assertive hop presence and a smooth mouthfeel from the rustic 6-row barley. Krispy, snappy and massively crushable.
