pours very close to black, settles black, dark brown head that lasts only seconds.
dark caramelly dark chocolate ish aroma, sort of folded into itself, vanilla. not a strong aroma. alc. can be sensed
roasted malts, vanilla, cocoa , caramel in the flavor. quite balanced, like the sweet chocolate pieces in ice cream - or perhaps like good vanilla ice cream with dark chocolate pieces in it. A bit sweet , not a quick drinker, more like a dessert wine.
very balanced. Was quite expensive, i think i can get better beers for less money, but it is no doubt top shelf quality wise.
if you like your imp stout soft and sweet and not brutal and heavy this might be to your liking.

Sample from bottle @ Pien, Helsinki. Sweet, sticky and heavy with massive amounts of marshmallows, hints of chocolate and bourbon.
