Bottle @ Exira Beer Summit III. Pours a fairly clear golden orange appearance with a disappearing white head. Tangy passion fruit, vanilla, bretty, light garbage, a bit zesty carbonated, white grape, pear aroma. Fairly tart white grape, light apple, somewhat oaky, vanilla, tangy tropical fruity flavor with a dry vinous finish. Interesting but not my favorite.

375 ml bottle courtesy of JB. Bottled as "Ocvlvs Dexter" - description "Sour Golden Ale Brewed With Vignole Grapes Aged In French Oak Casks". ABV 8.9%. Theoretically same beer as listed. The pour is a light golden, with a small white head. The aroma is Brett barnyard straight off, lightly sour, wood and lemon citrus. The taste is bright lemon citrus, white grapes, blended nicely with a soft funk sour, and finishes with a bit of an unexpected sugar sweetness. The palate is medium bodied, lower level of soft carbonation, and a funky sour soft finish. Decent, interesting. Thanks for sharing this one John.

Sampled at Falling Rock. Pours a clear orange with some cloudy white head. Big boozy nose, tropical fruit, herbal, earthy. Flavor is sweet, astringent, herbal, lemons. Full, astringent finish. Pretty nice, could definitely be cellared.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy yellow with a tiny head. A big sour woody nose. A peppery flavor with sour wood, lemons, huge grapes. A bit like a big berliner. Quite soft and drinkable.

Tap at the Barrel Cellar - Turbid gold - first of all, the aroma is awesome - mild lacto notes, moderate spice, complex earthiness and a strong and inviting Vignole grape character (skins, fruit meat, seeds) - overall, just a pleasure to smell - sadly, the flavor falls very short of what the aroma promises - strong lacto sourness and moderate acetic acid - sort of tastes like a rather simple Berliner - a bit of spice and light grain character - but overall fairly simple in flavor - bummer, because it started out so strong.
