Our interpretation of the original black lagers of Bavaria. Also known as “black pils,” this light and crisp schwarzbier is balanced by a complex blend of dark and roasted malts, accentuated with subtle notes of floral and spicy noble hops.

12oz can watching Bs. Dark brown pour almost black and beige head with legs. Nose is roast and spicy hops. Tastes peppery, of char, chocolate, dark bread. Very smooth and easy drinking.

12 ounce can. Mahogany brown pour is topped by a massive, frothy tan head. Excellent lacing. Roasted malt nose is subdued. Flavor is roasted malt, a bit of coffee, unsweetened cocoa and a hint of tobacco. Nice texture and flavor. Some spicy hops on backend. Marvelous.

Enlyed April 25th, 2023 at the brewery. Clean copper-brown colour with golden highlights, a nice creamy light beige head and full creamy lacing. Smooth, burnt barley aromas with an oat softness. Roasted malt base with a nice herbal, hop finish. The mouthfeel is lightly dry in the finish. An easy-drinking Schwarzbier that is nicely balanced.
