Tap takeover at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico. Cask, half pint. Lasting low white head. Unclear, orange coloured body. Sweet dried fruity nose. Jam-like taste of apricot, dough and malty sweetness. Lingering bittersweet tail. Medium to full bodied. Tasty stuff, a bit heavy in the long run (London 12.08.2013).

Bottle from Vino Wines. Murky amber body with a thick pillowy white head. Surprisingly weak aroma - sugar, yeast and white pepper. Taste lacks the depth and complexity of the finest Belgian Tripels but it’s still pretty nice. Sweet with a nice citrus hint in the finish. Full body with a foamy mouthfeel. Lively carbonation. A decent attempt at a Tripel, just lacking in sparkle.

Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A hazy golden/amber coloured pour with a small white head on top. Sweet, yeasty, spice aroma. Taste is similar, yeasty, spice, sweet, some lemon. Quite boozy and a little unbalanced for my palate but still pretty good.

Bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras drunk on the train to Ashford. Very hazy gold amber colour. Very decent intense hoppy Belgian ale. Pretty damn good. True to the style but with a hoppy kick. Very hoppy actually. No Belgian tripel would be this hoppy. Fun though. Exciting beer.

12th August 2013CP&K. Cask. Very hazy amber beer with a big pale cream coloured head. Palate is softish with fine carbonation. Sweet mat, typically tripel. Whisper of spice and a very light touch of candy fruits. Finishes semi dry with quite a strong spicy linger. Not bad but it’s mising that signature banana ester touch.
