500ml bottle. Cloudy, amber-ish, auburn colour with average to huge, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Smoky and chocolately, dark malty, slightly caramel malty as well as slightly grassy and minimally fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of smoked birchwood, a touch of mandarine, minimally waxy overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel and slightly chocolately, dark malty, smoky, slightly grassy and mildly bitter hoppy, hints of milk chocolate, smoked birchwood, birch sap. Slightly oily, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy palate, medium, scattered, soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Mild and balanced, maybe a tad too sweet, surprisingly light - nice.
