12 oz can with a blue label and red/white accents. Eagle too! Found this at a distributor in Robinson, near Pgh. $12 for a case of 24, that makes it 50 cents a can. I could not wait to taste this, I thought they quit making it, perhaps they did. Date code "brewed by Pgh Brewing Company" and they are defunct. Been owned by Iron City Brewing for at least a year now? I already tasted American and American Light from Pgh brewing and found those cheap PLs acceptable. I think this is the cheapest of all ice beers and its local! Oddly reminiscent aroma of a quad Trappist I had lately, way! Difficult and rather harsh initial flavors somewhat like the better City Brewing PLs. You can taste some of the Iron City influence in there. Cheap pale yellow ubiquitous appearance. Some bubbles arising. Odd processed flavors a little more than you’d find with American Lager. Stronger, yet not repulsive for a cheap ice lager. Difficult at times but it does not come across as aged lager. Seems to have a hidden higher alky personality about it. More palatable than most cheap ice brews. Finish is almost watery, yet has a processed mundane punch that lingers unlike a bitter hopped beer. Does the job. Sometimes the age of this beer shows thru with a little sickening sweetness in the background which perhaps approaches the negativities of City Brews. I have about 20 cans of this FT!
