On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Golden/orange with a small head. Aroma of hops, pineapple, citrus. The same in the taste, also some malt. The finish was quite bitter. A nice one.

Poured up on tap at the 2015 edition of the AZ Strong Beer Festival where it exhibits a slightly hazy deep gold body that supports a nice light tan head of foam. The aroma is thick and pulsing with a thick malty blend of resiny pine hops and dank spicy onion hoppiness, wow! The taste is thick and intense with lumpy sweet malts and firm resiny pine hops that are tempered with grapefruit and tangelo bitter citrus hoppiness. To midway this picks up a little dankness that’s spicy and onion like and then it levels off into a neutral almost dry finish, very nice.

[2/22/15] Draught at Pizza Port in Carlsbad. Clear deep golden. Aroma of butter and oniony hops. Sweet flavor with malt, butter, “green” oniony hops and a bitter and slightly alcoholic finish. Slightly oily mouthfeel. Not my thing.

On draught at Harry’s Hofbrau IPA Fest for SF beer week. Aromas are slight tropical and candi sugar. Piney. Pours a clear brushes gold with white head that lingers well enough for the alcohol. Taste is balance of malt and earthy, pine hops. Moderate high bitterness and slight dank on the finish. Does not taste like an 11% er.
