Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a clear mahogany colored body that supports a nice light tan head. The aroma offers up roasted malts and light roasted slightly earthy coffee. The taste starts with dark roasted malts that have a thick edge of burnt maltiness. Just behind the nearly firm maltiness lurks slivers of lagery yeast and esters. Wow. This has a good load of dark roasted maltiness and just enough body to hold it together.

Pours a drk black from the tap at the brewery. Darker even than the porter. Flavor of sweet malt and licorice. Good beer.
