Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a deep dark body that has dark mahogany colored edges and supports a thin dark tan head. The aroma offers up lots of dark roasted malts as well as mild earthy pumpkin and a faint wood sensation. The taste is intense. Indeed a sipper. This bursts with highly roasted malts, spicy black strap molasses and then a dark roasted coffee flavor. To midway modest levels of pumpkin and spiciness manage to be heard amid the big roasty notes. Cool experience. Sipper for sure.
