4-5 oz pour on draft at BJ’s (Gainesville, VA location) with a Mustang Sally yelling DCLawyer. Clear golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, toasty notes, biscuit, floral notes. Tastes of citrus, malt, biscuit, light butter, floral notes. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Keg at BJs, Gainesville, VA. Pours a clear copper with a large frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus hops and pale malt. The taste is citrus, pine hops and pale malts. Thin-medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Orange and lilly nose. Clear amber, medium head, good lacing. Peanut hull, lilly, lemon zest flavor. Light body. Good complexity for the style.

On tap at the Mesa, AZ location where it exhibits a clear copper body that supports a dirty white head that leaves behind spotty lacing. The serving temperature was too cold for this light hoppy ale but not as frigid as almost all other ale offerings I’ve had at a Bj’s to date. Are they starting to understanding serving temperature issues finally? I’m doubtful. The aroma offers up malts, crystal malts sweetness, faint citrus to somewhat pine resiny hop notes. The taste starts with a pleasing mix of malts and hoppiness that is tangelo and grapefruit and then quickly getting into growing citrus hop bitterness. This is a very tasty session brew with enough body and hoppiness to keep this interesting.
