A refreshing zesty ale that packs a big punch of flavour for its strength. Initially full of hops and bitterness, a subtle sweetness is also present, all leading to a long lingering complex finish.

Keg at Moncada Brewery Taproom (soon to open), Friday 16th May 2014 with Ang’, Morten and the other young guy whose name I forget (sorry) Pours golden, really refreshing, soft in mouth, nice carbonation, I found this similar to the Beavertown Neck Oil, I’d just had at The Union Tavern and that is praise. Restrained but pleasant bitterness and citrus. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.6

Small white head quickly disappears entirely. Clear yellow body. Fruity spicy aroma with gingery wooden notes. Dry-sweet herbal gooseberry and wood taste with strawy notes. Mid-to-light body. Mild, soft, flat mouthfeel. Dry fruity strawy ginger aftertaste with grassy herbal notes. Light, drinkable, but low on flavour. (0.237 cask at Truscott Arms, London.)
