Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: dark brown with some light purple hues closer to the center with a one and a half fingers of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: caramel malts, brown sugar, banana and clove with some Belgian spicy yeasty tones in there and a light earthy hoppy tone coming in for balance
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas pretty nicely to be a semi-sweet to spicy quality and adding in a little bit of citrusy/orangey note in the background; finishes malty and with the Belgian yeasty quality and with a light orangey tone
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper; some prickly "back-of-the-throaty"-ness hitting my tongue like I expected it to and wanted it to
Overall: definitely on the way of being a Belgian ale and yes to the Belgian strong dark ale. I would have this one again.

Pours a beautiful glowing copper. Nice malty aroma and flavor, crisp and dry. Very good beer.

Amber pour little muddy looking. Nose is fruit, Belgian yeast, candy. Tastes of cherry, rock candy, orange, leather. Medium bodied. Some sweetness.
