The Cold IPA isn't exactly a revolutionary style, but it's somewhat of a unique combination of West Coast IPA, IPL, and Brut IPA. We started with a grain bill similar to an American Lager, with over 25% corn, then ramped it up to a higher ABV. The beer is aggressively hopped throughout the boil and then fermented with lager yeast, but at warm temperatures. After fermentation, another large addition of Enigma and Motueka dry hops are added to bring out even more aroma. The light malt base and clean fermentation profile give the hops a blank slate to be expressed, and the resulting beer is crisp, dry, bitter, and wonderfully hoppy

Light gold and fairly clear. Sudsy white head. Nose is corn and yeast. Tastes like a corny lager, little grass and lemon, touch of white wine. Smooth palate. Refreshing and odd. Not sure if I’ve had a cold ipa prior it’s certainly different from standard brut which I’ve not seen around in a bit. Enjoyable.
