Pours a thin brown with an enormous volume of tracing carbonation and a big, bubbly, brown head. Aroma of wood, molasses. Taste has maple elements, nutty, coffee, a slightly smokey element. Palate has more sweetness, intense chocolate, lingering malty nose. Good.
Roasty, maple, clean, easy to drink.

4 pack at home. Dark brown pour and fine head. Nose is maple and nutty. Tastes of maple syrup but not in an overly sweet cloying way, some walnut skin, earth, root beer, some bread. Semi sweet touch of hooch.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a thin off white foamy head that dies off at a good pace to leave a film rolling all around.
The aroma starts off with a huge sweet maple syrup flowing into nutty sweet brown ale notes. Moderate amount of caramel and toffee notes.
The flavor moderates between the caramel and toffee sweet malts to the maple syrup sweetness. Nice roastiness hits with a little bit of toast and cake. Lingers into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it, surprisingly enough. Doesn’t seem like 7.9% and this also is a fresh batch too. Carbonation seems good, but there is some stickiness to it.
Overall, perhaps closer to an English strong ale or porter. Doesn’t seem like there’s enough hops for it to be American styled. But still a highly enjoyable offering.
