Well well well, me and the ORIGINAL old milwaukee finally meet to butt heads.... this mysterious beer, buried amongst the "dry" and other variants, was finally found in a fine dépanneurrrrrre somewhere in the Québécoise area. It pours very boring, white head and gold body. Blah, I say. Aroma of dry grains and slight cardboard. Flavour is nonexistent; there’s nothing there, really. But, the rice and corn adjuncts make for an okay mouthfeel, which is the saving grace of this one. Otherwise, well, yeah - it sucks.

Forty from Food Lion. Pours a crystal clear pale yellow color with a medium frothy head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is corn, sawdust, grass and light skunk. Taste is absolutely inoffensive and bland with faint notes of corn, sweet malts and generic beery taste. Thin and watery. Not a bad lawnmower beer.

Scary looking 32 oz light brown bottle. Something tells me that this beer topped with the rootbeer twist-off is not going to be a favorite of mine. Didnt even need to fully remove the cap to smell the skunk. Pale yellow....Very Pale. Fizzy off-white head that dies quick. Some light lacing. Aroma of corn, rice and chicken soup. Light elements of garbage. Fizzy with a whole lot of Diacetyl and DMS. A bit grassy. Bad, but to the average drinker probably not offensive. Pretty offensive to me.

Ok, I will be a senior in college next year and I just had my first Ol’ Mil the other night. Weird. Anyway, I wouldn’t start a night of boozin’ with this gem, but I’m not too proud to knock back some OWs as the night wears on. If its cold it goes down just fine.

Tin.. Thin urine like colour with a tiny bubble of a head. Aroma of maize and skunk. Water like flavour, but not refreshing like water, not good and malty like beer, not hoppy like ale and not muddily revolting like a river that hippos piss in. Metallic finish, with a little undescribable something, maybe it IS hippo piss. If this is what Milwaukee beer is like (and it isn’t) I pity Milwaukee.

New rating 2011: Got a 30 case for $7 after rebate. Fairly refreshing pale lager. Goes down pretty easy. I don’t remeber it being this unless out of a cold tap. The last time I had it it was not this good. Rating from 2007 was 1.9. Much better and fresher this time. Old rating2007: Olfactory is a little sour. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager appearance and color. Good white head that does not fade, interesting for an american lager. Clean odd industrial flavor. Sterile and slightly sour on the taste buds. Almost easy to drink. Remember when this was the low price leader? Carbonation is acceptable. A little below average on the enjoyability scale. No comment on the finish.

32 oz. bottle. Adjunct aroma. Just seems to be corn. A really pale gold color with a white head that didn’t linger. Pretty thin. Medium carbonation. The flavor actually has some hop to balance the corny sweetness. The finish is relatively dry, although a corny veg taste lingers, and there is just the merest hint of bitter hop. $1.29. Hey, bottled water can cost more than that. Oh well, unsurprisingly it is going down the drain.

Canette 355ml.

Another beer that lacks ’good’. Completely forgetable. I drank this while I was drunk and the taste still managed to offend me a little bit. Useless. But hey, it is pretty cheap.
