De Vechtzomp was jarenlang het vervoermiddel op de Vecht. Dalfsen telde 70 zompschippers tot 1920. Rogge, bier, linnen en Bentheimer zandsteen werden met de Vechtzomp vervoerd. Sinds 2019 vaart een replica van de zomp op de Vecht. De Vechtdal IPA is een smakelijke ode aan de Vechtzomp.

Fles 33cl thuis. IBU60. Pine, bitters, citrus, grapefruit, malttonen, tropisch fruit, wat caramel, grassig, harsig, vrij droog. (12-8-2023).

330ml bottle. Opalescent, amber colour with huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grassy, piney and zesty, citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of grapefruit, grapefruit peel, some pineapple, a touch of fresh hay, minimally dusty, yeasty overtones. Taste is dry and bitter, grassy, piney and zesty, citrusy fruity hoppy, sweet-ish, caramel malty basis, notes of grapefruit, grapefruit peel, tangerine, some pineapple, a minimally waxy touch; dusty, yeasty overtones, a touch of fresh hay as well. Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Nice composition, light Farmhouse IPA touch - enjoyable.
