Se mettre à 5 brasseries pour un tel résultat....Cela n'a vraiment pas de sens, si ce n'est pour le marketing. Le résultat en est une quadruple moyenne pas au niveau de ces brasseries. Pourtant la promesse était là...outre le nom de nos 5 brasseurs, columbus et Perle comme houblon, figue et vanille en ajout, des copeaux de fut de cognac, 34 d'EBU et 14% Abv. Au final, nous avons une bière lourde en bouche, que ni l'alcool ni l'amertume n'arrive à tonifier et sans réelle complexité. Rien à voir avec ma chamoise inconsciente strong wheat ale de la veille sur la même construction, qui était moins sucrée, dont les 9 % Abv et l'amertume avaient plus de punch et où le cognac était vraiment présent en bouche. Très joli acajou limpide en verre cependant (104 d'EBC). Avec ses 14 % ABV, on ne retrouve cependant qu'une très faible effervescence et peu de mousse. Le nez, liquoreux est sur la prune, le raisin et la figue. Rien d'exceptionnel. En bouche c'est lourd, sans être pour autant d'une ampleur exceptionnelle. L'attaque, légèrement acidulée et épicée reprend les arômes dévoilés au nez sur une texture suave. La deuxième bouche qui monte un peu sur l'amertume gagne en ampleur et sur le côté liquoreux. L'alcool ne se ressent que peu tout de même et n'arrive pas à percer la sucrosité. On s'ennuie quelque peu...Le final, d'une longueur acceptable, voit l'amertume retomber tout en laissant dévoiler des arômes de vanille eu présents jusque-là. L'union ne fait pas toujours la force.

[ As De Molen / Laugar / Guineu / La Pirata / Mad Brewing Spanish sQuad ].Clear medium to dark brown - red amber colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, sweet malt, bread, caramel, alcohol, dried fruit - figs, oak - vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, bread, caramel, sweet malt, alcohol, dried fruit - figs, oak - vanilla.
