32oz growler pours with a dark copper to amber body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up malts, crystal malts, a dash of plum like esters as well as grassy and spicy hops. The taste delivers similar notes of sweet malts, biscuit and crystal malts and then a growing hop bitterness. The hops are moderately bitter with spicy and grassy notes and just a hint of pine. Into the finish a thin toffee and plum like fruity ester sweetness blends into the hoppiness. This is pretty nice and easy drinking for an 8% IIPA.
