Aaanyhoo, later in 2024 they re-brewed the mild and called it Emma’s Winter Mild. So we felt it was time to brew it at ours and named it Henok’s Mild. The first batch we brewed was cask only, and a handful of kegs that made their way over to Stockholm.
This mild is pretty dark, super comforting, very moreish and is now available right in time for the change of seasons.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 8th February 2025. Deep sepia with shallow tan foam spot lacing. Roasty coffee aroma. Coffee roastiness in-mouth and a finish of bitter chocolate. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

I've had a pretty wet day of trying to dodge the rain whilst bar hopping in Leith, for the most part I have managed it, but it doesn't take much to make you feel like you've just been wet all day. Then comes along a lovely softly roasted good-looking dark ale to make things better. Easy strong mild at Joker & The Thief.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden. Opaque cpla brown. Foamy off-white head. Berries and mocha. Crramy edge. Medium bodied. Creamy. Soft slightly fizzy carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Noise but may as well be a Stout.

On cask at Teuchters West End.
Appearance - deep brown with an attractive, foamy, beige head.
Nose - cherry stone and marzipan. An edge of chocolate and toffee too.
Taste - more cherry, marzipan and toffee with a brown bread backdrop.
Palate - medium bodied, creamy in texture and a very gentle bitterness on the finish.
Overall - tremendous stuff!
