This Kvass inspired ale was brewed in collaboration with Rapp Brewing. The grain bill is just over 50% rye and just under 50% barley, including an ancient Egyptian hull-less variety. We also used 50 loves of Rye bread from Backhaus Bakery.

Draft at the brewery. Pours clear copper color with off white head. Flavor and aromas of rye bread. Light to medium body with average carbonation.

Tap at brewery. Light copper small sudsy head. Nose is berry and sourdough. Tastes of lively berry, some rich rye and sourdough bread notes. Some paper and pepper. Interesting fruity finish. Light bodied and some earthy beets linger.
