The aroma offers up plenty of prunes, dates and a thin note of ripe cherries wrapped in a soft caramel sensation. The taste delivers similar notes with sweet prunes and raisins drizzled with brown sugar and caramel goodness. It picks up a bit of boozy cherries and dates to midway. Maybe 6 mo. of age might blend and soften the sweet dark fruity esters a bit. Overall this is a nice English Barleywine.
