Big Spill Pils is a 4.6% German influenced lager brewed with 100% Pilsen malt, fermented low and slow with our house German lager yeast. We then kettle hopped this delicious lager with a bit of old world Saaz and just the right amount of Galaxy during the lagering process resulting in a luscious citrus and passion fruit nose.

Sample from crowler during the Hoppin’ On Deck 3 tasting on 10/05/2018. Clear golden color with a medium thick white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lace. Floral hops, fruit and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of floral hops, tropical fruit and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hoppy aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Pint can pours with a clear gold body that supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up bready pils malts and a note of herbal kind of spicy hops as well as some faint pineapple. The taste delivers sweet pilsner malts with a sweet bready edge to it. It then quickly picks up bitter spicy and floral hops as well as murmurs of malt infused pineapple. Toward the finish it becomes a little more cracker like as the lagery apple and pear like esters bubble to the surface. Nice.
