12oz can pours with a murky brown to deep copper body that supports a thin off white head of foam. The aroma offers up a blend of pine hops, malts and just a bit of molasses. The taste delivers a fairly smooth blend of bitter almost sappy pine hops and thick sweet malts. There's plenty of hoppiness keeping the sweet malts in check. Into the finish the malts become a little more slick nectar sweet like and play well with lingering pine hop bitterness and an under welling of booze. 14%? Really? That's hidden very well. Seems like maybe 10 or 11% tops. Nice full flavor sipper.
