Brown colored, thin but lasting off white head. Rye bready, spicy aroma, grainy. Love the aroma. Flavor has rye, grain, flour, slight sweetness. Really really good.

Bottled (as Poppelmans brown Ale Vinterutgåva, thanks omhper!). Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is nutty, floral and some slight fruity notes. Flavour is fruity, floral and also has some mild nutty and toffeeish notes to it.

Bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours clear deep brown with a big frothy and fizzy goldenish brownish beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is tiny sour and malty with pumpernickel bread, lemon zest, minerals, lemon juice, grass, pine, grapefruit rinds and hints of detergent. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter and malty with toasted malts, pumpernickel bread, lemon zest, freshly cut grass, pine needles, moss, moist wood, minerals, cocoa powder and hints of metal. Mouthfeel is round, fizzy, tiny roasted tart and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter and malty with dark bread, roasted malts, watered down coffee, pine needles, moist wood, moist soil and lemon zest. Smell is pretty off on this one but luckily it tastes allright.
