50cL bottle pours with a murky copper to leather brown colored body that supports a tall tan head of foam. The aroma offers up brown sugar, molasses, prunes and figs with a mild spicy black licorice note toward the end of the draw. The taste delivers molasses and brown sugar sweetened prunes, figs flowing into a thin spicy sweetened kind of anise note. A modest degree of booze hits toward the finish as well as a murmur of sweet caramel. This is a pretty good sipper that might benefit from a little more cellar time to help further integrate the flavors.
