Whole Foods, P St, DC sixer ($10): Pours a copper colour with a nice white head. Aroma is piny/earthy hops, with a bunch of malt backbone. This jawn drink all easy-like. I can finish a sixer in half hour methinks. Nicely hoppy. Not at all watery. Basically, this has an excellent body and a masterfully pulled-off flavour profile. A proper American session done right.

Canned. Golden colour, mediumsized beige foamy head. Aroma is fruits, mild bready notes and some caramel. Flavour is crisp maltyness, mild earth, herbs and some fruity and floral notes. Also some slight metallic notes.

Can from Whole Foods, NYC. Clear amber color, good off-white head. Fruity, pineapple, passion fruit aroma. Light-bodied. Fruity, pineapple, pine, short sweetish fruity finish. A bit watery, but nice American-style session beer.

Out of a can in a pint glass. Hop aroma is somewhat subdued for the IBUs, some slight floral but mostly nice grain. Pours a great golden-amber that is crystal clear. Nice full white head slowly subsides, leaving a full collar and dusting after minutes. Medium-full mouthfeel with chewy caramel notes. Some nice hop bitterness is well balanced with a kick at the end. I love this - perhaps my favorite American session.

Picked this up $3 at State Line Liquors in DE. Poured int a tulip glass.
A - 1-Finger light tan head with a mix of big & small bubbles. The beer is a deep golden hue.
S - Pine, ginger and wood are big in this beer. I’m also getting some spices and a tad bit of vanilla.
T - Caramel and hops dominate this beer. Maybe there’s some candy in here as well like sweet tarts
M - Huge bubble eruption on mouth swish. Light bodied and very easy to drink.
O - Delicious. I’d love to have this on tap at the San Francisco location. It’s very drinkable and not too bitter.

12 oz can. Pours almost clear copper with a medium cream-colored lacy head, great retention. Aroma is peachy, citrusy--nice and hoppy. Taste is almost IPA-ish in its hoppiness; bittersweet. Carbonation is medium-high, body medium. This is one of those great beers that proves high alcohol content doesn’t necessarily determine quality.

Nice very crisp copper coloured body with a touch of an orange glow and a nice one-centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of fresh hops, light citrus, herbal and grassy notes with a good sweetness - very mouthwatering! Light-bodied; Very thin, easy drinking with a very potent and drying hop flavour of grapefruit and citrus with a very small malt backbone, a dose of light sweetness and a very nice clean taste at the end. Aftertas is light, airy, dry, herbal and definitely showing a lot of hops. Overall, a very nice, easy drinking APA, bordering more on the edges of a pils (if I didn’t know it was an Ale). A great beer to try and I’d drink a lot more of these in the summer time if I could find them on the right coast. I sampled this twelve ounce CAN (love it) purchased from Village Market in the San Francisco Ferry Building in California on 18-March-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 27-September-2011.
