(On tap) Clear mahogany with an orange hue and a handsome, dense, beige head with good retention and leaving a pretty lacework. Aroma of roasted malt. Light and somewhat watery body, with notes of roasted malt and some butter. Dry but not overly bitter finish. Very distinct Apollo character - whatever that is. Nowhere near a Czech Dunkel. 041006

A brown beer with a red shine under a brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of licorice, malt, and caramel - nicely inviting. The flavor starts out sweet with strong notes of licorice and caramel, but with a note of butter lying in the back ground - brewing flaw? After detecting the butter in the flavor it is also evident in the aroma. The end is slightly roasted. The mouthfeel is too carbonated. Some good and some bad notes.
