(On tap) Very dark brown, close to opaque, with a neat, creamy, beige head leaving handsome curtains of lace. Aroma of roasted malt and - unfortunately - some butter. Medium body with notes of prunes and other dried, sweet fruit. Has a slightly vinous touch. Ends dry but not really bitter. Shame about the butter aroma. 110906

Draught @ the brewpub. Dark brown almost black colour with a longlasting creamy off-white head. Malty fruity and slightly hoppy caramel aroma. Sweet malty, slightly roasted flavor. Hints of chocolate, caramel and hops. Long malty finish.

Listed as a Fusion Ale at the brewpub, since the brewmaster has mixed something like three different beer style. A brown beer with a slight hazy under a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity com bined with notes of berries and caramel, as well as hints of yeast. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel, and berries, as well as hints of smoke. It has lots of power from a lot of different flavor in the beginning, but in the middle it is a bit weak, due to lack of excessive sugar. But toward the end it picks up again, to a dry roasted nutty end. Quite complex, but impossible to but into a traditional style. I like it, but if You only like beers brewed to style, this is not Your beer.
