As the name suggests, we’ve used just one variety of hop in this pale golden ale. Brewed with just low colour Maris Otter malt and a little wheat for head retention, we’ve selected some of the more “interesting” hops and added several bucket loads to each brew. Currently we’re using one of our favourites, NZ Motueka. Expect a tropical citrus twist, with hints of lemon and lime.

Cask at Cloisters, 3.8% ABV. Clear golden body with a thin white head that holds well. Nice lacing. Aroma of green apple, hay and apricot. Flavour is light and fruity - notes of lime, underripe pear and orange. Thin to medium body with a creamy texture. Soft tickle of carbonation. This is a beer I could drink all day long.

Cask @ Castle Hotel, Manchester. Paler gold colour with a small creamy head. The hop is lovely with a very drinkable light tropical fruit fused with a sweet bubbly gum flavour. It’s nose is very guava fruit.

(Cask at Euston Tap, Euston, London, 9 Apr 2014) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with citrus, peaches, mango and grass. Fruity, malty taste with notes of peaches, orange, tropical fruit and a balanced grassy/floral bitterness in the finish. Light body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and refreshing. Quite nice.

Cask at the Euston Tap. Clear golden orange with a persistent thick white head. Aroma is lemon rind coconut fairly subtle spice notes. Flavour is clean light pale malt and them funky thai spice, lemongrass coconut hops. Reminds me a good bit of sorachi ace. Palate is a touch light ans watery but very drinkable. I could nail a bunch of this.
