Draught @ [ DOE - Olfestival Kobenhavn 2013 ] @ Tap1, Ny Carlsbergvej 91, 1760 Copenhagen, Denmark.Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, smoked wood notes. Flavour is moderate to geavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, burnt dark roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130524]

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a pitch black with a creamy, light brown head. Sweet licorice aroma with some peaty smoke materializing. Not really a full body, again rather sweet licorice and then full throttle iodine and tar from the peat. No real bitterness. An attempt on making a Limfjordsporter? 100813

Draft. A black beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt and alcohol.

DØE. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and a little smoke. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, little smoke, meat, little sweet, little bitter, little dry and a little acid.

Draught@CPH BF 2013. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is vanilla, roasted malts, liquorice and some ashes along with smoked wood. Flavour is fruity, toffeeish, leathery, mildly spicy with some ashes and mild roasted malts.

From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is tarish, roasted malty and tarish. Dark malty, roasted and tarish. Peated and dry malty, light chocolate note. Dark tarish finish.

Weak smoke and phenol aroma. Almost black colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is smoked and tarry, almost phenolic. Buttery finish.

Bottle. Pours cloudy dark brown with stable tan head. Dark aroma of nuts, coffee beans, malt and caramel. Sweet, malty and caramel flavour with notes of roast, chocolate, coffee and dried fruit. Creamy mouthfeel. Decent.
