This strong Moylan's brew is what keeps those Irish eyes a smiling. Its deep amber radiance has been described by our brewer as the most visually enticing beer. This ale's rich malty flavor, full body, invigorating aroma, and expansive finish empower it to be extremely satisfying and repeatedly enjoyed. Great Western Two Row Pale Malt, De Wolf-Cosyns' Caravienne and Munich Malts are allied to provide the 1.070 beginning specific gravity, while Fuggle and Liberty hops balance this sweetness. A classic rich and malty ale from Ireland. Unlike most "want-to-be" red ales, Moylan's red has a rich caramel character balanced with a low hop profile.

Draught at London Pub, Vancouver
Amber color. Quite bready beer; also some grains, cereals, light residual sweetness, the bitterness is too low. Simple Amber Ale, not too bad.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is yeast, zesty light sour citrus. The flavour is light sweet light acid sour with a malt, light caramel, light hop palate and a bubbly mouthfeel. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

650ml bottle. Barely clear amber colour with small, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Scant malty aroma with an unspecific fruity and minimally nuttily touch. Taste is nuttily malty, nut pellicle, very subtle sweetness, cautious bitter hoppy overtones; surprisingly soft, silk, mouthfilling palate reconciles a little. Quite expressionless.
