16oz (thx, Nick S.!) @ Ryan's shared with Farees and Josh. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: some sweetness, dark fruits, a bit of tobacco, and caramel. Taste: along the same lines, some dark fruits character, some dark roasted malt. Overall: nothing really complex here considering the description, but it's fine.

Poured from 473mL can. Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Slightly metallic bourbon, subdued berry and chocolate quality, a bit underwhelming.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours black with a chocolate brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has bourbon and oak with strong dark grains, chocolate and a bit of tobacco supporting. Flavor has bourbon and dark grains with oak, toffee and a bit of tobacco underlying.

Pint can pours with a deep dark mahogany colored body that supported a brief collection of tan bubbles. The aroma offers up caramel, boozy barrel character, a touch of dark roasted malts and chocolate and then bits of dark fruity esters. The taste delivers an array of smooth integrated beery depth. It starts with caramel and a growing toffee sweetness and quickly picking up sweet dark fruity esters. To midway the snippets of dark roasted malts and dark chocolate bubble to the surface as the boozy barrel notes begin to counter and thin the body out a bit. Solid sipper.

16oz can pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice sweet malts rich bourbon barrel chocolate and caramel. Taste is more of the nice sweet caramel toffee chocolate roast malts and a bourbon barrel vanilla kick. Big thanks to Ibrew2or3!!!
