Cask ale, half pint, shared with Finn at Rook and Gaskill. Deep mahogany coloured body. Lasting beige layer. Smell of earthy malts, semi-sweet. Dark caramel taste added by notes of nuts and honey leading to a malt bitter finish. A bit floury in the mouth. A malty beer that fits the winter season quite well (York, 26.01.2013).
