Burly Worms - Cognac Barrel

Blue waxed bottle pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a short lived dark tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dates, plums and some figs followed by molasses, cognac and a growing mild booziness. The taste delivers smooth supple cognac and spicy oak intertwined with date, fig and plum like sweet fruity esters. It becomes increasingly more boozy midway and into the finish and this provides a pleasing cut to the softer sweeter notes as well as a nice warming sensation.
