On tap pours out dark cola color topped with tan head. Nose is sweet malts some light ash smoke notes. Taste is more of the nice roast malts some ash roast pitfruit and grain.

12oz can pours with a clear dark mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet smelling molasses and spicy black strap molasses and some thin fig and date notes. The taste delivers smooth somewhat dark roasty molasses sweetened goodness. To midway it picks up a bit of black strap molasses like spiciness as well as faint prune and date like notes. Solid winter time sipper with the help of a faint bit of earthiness.
