Bottle from a trade with Grumbo, thanks! Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, cocoa, dark chocolate, hint of ash, touch of coffee. Medium sweet flavour with a moderate bitter finish. Body is medium with a slight creaminess. Solid Porter!

Bottled. Black colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is nutty, coffeeish, some herbal and mild toffee tones. Flavour has a wee bit of alcohol, some nutty, roasted, toffeeish and mild earthy tones. Smooth and easy to drink. Quite pleasantly balanced.

Bottle from Oddbins. Poured very dark brown with an average sized beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit. Medium to heavy sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Decent.

Clear dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and milk chocolate. Quite bitter flavour, light sweet notes, chocolate. Finish chocolate, roasted malts and coffee.

Chestnuts, camp fire and chocolate aroma. Taste is velvet, chocolate, licorice and blackcurrants. Silky and smooth.

Bottla at home from Oddbins London Bridge. Black coloured pour with dark red hues in the light. Lasting mid tan head. Aroma is earthy cocoa, ashy roast, little jammy fruits, charrred wood. Flavour gives earthy roasted barley, woodlandd berry, little jammy strawberry, dry ashy roast, char. Lingering smoke. Palate is medium bodied, mnoderate to high carbonation, little chalk on the tongue. Really solid porter with good depth.

Cask @ GBBF 2014. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel finish.

33 cl bottle. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and chocolate. Bitter, roasted, dark malty, chocolate, tarish and slight chalky. Bitter, roasted dark malty and lasting chocolate dense malty finish.

Sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit geringer aber schönen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch intensiv nach Kaffee, Vanille und Schokolade. Geschmack röstmalzig, leicht rauchig, Kaffee, bittere Schokolade.
