Redhook Pilsner is brewed in a traditional Czech style and is the first pilsner Redhook Ale Brewery has ever released. Red Hook Pilsner offers a very soft palate and malt flavors that are offset by a medium dose of distinct Czech hops to bring out its authentic flavors. The refreshing beer finishes with a clean, bright, thirst-quenching quality.…

Notes from June 2011 Why aren't these in eight packs? Undersized pils glass. Bright, golden amber body. Inch of flimsy white wash head. Constant activity. Bottled on APR 18 11. Smells of coppery/peppery hops; turning herbal as it warms. Toasty, grassy, & a bit salty. Moderate, lingering herbal/soapy bitterness. Seltzer-like carbonation. A bit too harsh. Non-existent body. Dry. Decent quencher. Pretty clean. If it were cheap enough, I would be that Costco would love to create a 20 foot store display of it. :)

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pilsener.
The appearance was a soft golden yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds. There was barely any lacing.
The smell had a slight sweet corn to it.
The taste followed the nose.
On the palate, this one sat pretty light and came across pretty sessionable. The carbonation was somewhat sharp.
Overall, decent pilsener. It does the trick as a pilsener but it’s not a standout.

Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light crisp palate. Minerals. Clean malt but not that lagerish. Forensic trace of hops. Light floral note. Crisp finish. Fine but really needs another dimension.

Bottle, 5.3%. Faint papery aroma. Clear shiny golden colour. Small white head. Papery flavour at first, but nicely malty. Dusty later with a faint spicy hop note. At first not so good, but after a while quite OK.
