On tap @ Bryden’s, Toronto. Pours a clear reddish amber with a half-inch white head that did not last. Aroma of toffee malts, bread dough, nuts, bit of red fruit. Flavour malt-forward, toffee and grain again, light toast, a little fruity. Some bitterness that builds at the finish, ends dry. Body fairly light, carbonation soft and creamy, no alcohol notes. Nothing revolutionary, but a solid easy-drinking traditional style.

pours dark maroon with a little head retention. Lacing is quite good though. The aroma is virtually nonexistent. The taste follows through with a good a little bitterness, almost coffee bean or stoutlike. Body is pretty light other than that. Actually a little cream to it. Beer is growing on me. On tap at The Rhino.
