(Tap) Clear ruddy brown with small off-white head. Aroma of candy sugar, pear drops, cardamom, hints of orange peel and booze. Full bodied, slightly sticky with surprisingly lively bright carbonation. Taste is sweet and boozy, with some nice balancing tart fruity and spicy notes. There’s a rich dark toffee, candy and raisins sweetness. There’s some fruity tartness - hints of apples and berries. There are some interesting esters that add complexity and lightness, and the booze is present but intrusive. Very enjoyable.
