Bottle from the St Albans Beer Shop. Poured a dark gold with a medium white head and good lacing. Aroma of raisins, Belgian yeasts and orange peal. Citrus hop flavour with soft fruits and cardamon. Finishes with lemon zest, grassy and grapefruit hops. Nice mix of Belgian triple and an IPA; balance is spot on.

Bottle from Domus Birrae. BBF 20AUG13. :( Pours orange gold with a slight whitish head. Aromas of earth, resin and floral. Med + body. Flavor is very hoppy - earth/resin - Belgian yeast/fruit ester - pretty malty backbone - but there’s certainly no excess sugar. There’s a lot of hop in this. Mild hop burn develops, and it’s finishing pretty darn bitter. Sometimes I think the fruit ester is tropical. Then I don’t. It’s pretty good stuff. Being a bit long in the tooth hasn’t resulted in anything disturbing.

330ml bottle. Clear orangey golden colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Caramel malty aroma, integrated piney hop notes, hints of dried fruit like apricot and peach, cautious hints of yeast. Taste has a caramel malty and fruity hoppy foreground, minimally sweet hints of dried apricot, dry, minimally tart and yeasty background with a strawy touch.
