An Arabic term for "when the apricots bloom," Filmishmish is a sour blonde ale with apricots that balances the crisp tartness of a well-crafted sour ale with noted of fresh apricot jam and oak. This ale skillfully turns "wishful thinking" into "wishful doing."

Bottle shared at dbarnold's, 10/31/15, Thanks Dave!
This is an excellent beer that I truly enjoyed. Has a great mix of tart, fruity, and sour across the aroma and the taste. Just really nice. Funky and tart, while at the same time extremely refreshing. Really like this a ton, great apricot sour with a ton of flavor and a low enough ABV to be pretty damn drinkable. Felt like the apricot was the perfect fruit in this beer, just excellent. As good as the Home, Sour Home was, I think this was my favorite beer of the evening. Dave - Hook me up if / when this comes out next year!

750 ml bottle poured into a Bruery tulip. Bottled on 4/23/2015. Very hazy brownish orange with close to two fingers of off-white head. Aromas of funk, black pepper, stone fruit, oak. Tastes of stone fruit, tart acidic notes, light vinegar, black pepper, light herb and spices, light oak. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Very tasty.

Poured from a 2014 vintage bottle. Aroma is super fruity with a nice citrus and acidic backbone. Light oak notes with hints of funk and tropical fruit. Overall, a ton of stone fruit. Pours a slightly cloudy golden orange with a large, somewhat thin, light tan head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers. Faint lacing and small legs. Flavor is fairly acidic with a ton of apricots and some other stone fruit. Nice light mustiness with light oak notes. Low bitterness. Hints of tropical fruit and moderate citrus. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a delicious apricot beer. Lacks some of the funkiness and Brett I would like to see, but lots of apricot character.

2014 bottle. The beer is deep orange-amber in color. Clouded over. Small white head. Fizzy bubbles that disappear pretty quickly. No bubbles at all after a minute. Very nice aroma. Lots of apricot aroma with a nice undercurrent of sour, funk and oak. Mouthwatering floral apricot fruitiness. Tart. Seems mostly lactic sour. The taste is very sour. It’s too one note tart for me. That huge pucker gets in the way of the fruit and funk. I can taste the apricot, oak and funk, but they’re muted compared to the huge punch of sourness. More acetic than the aroma seemed, though pretty big on lactic sourness, as well. Big pucker. Some body, thought fairly dry. Tart apricots for days.
