Brewed in OKC and bought in OKC at Freeman's Liquor this last weekend. If the intent is to compete with or emulate OE 800 aka Eight Ball aka Olde English 800, well, that is a tall hill to climb. But I can appreciate aspiration. The pint can in-hand is stamped with a date of 8/4/22, the born-on date I assume. No glasses used for malt liquors but the koozie will work fine to keep it cool. I pop the can open and take a sniff. It does smell like an old school malt liquor, good beginning. So now a drink. Damn, this is all right. Corny, slightly sweet, white bread and the first mile on the road to ruin. Eight Ball is now 7.5% abv and comes in a 42oz bottle that sells for about the same as this can. But I am not complaining, just pointing out the facts. A fine tasting, now I want to go to the brewery next time I'm in town.
