A 16 oz can found at the local beer shop. To pass along, on my can with a stamp of 12/14/23 the label has changed and the abv shown is 13.3%. Using a snifter this evening, the can is open and I make the pour. A dark liquid, almost black but I can see some light through it and a spare skim of light tan foam that is nicely replenished. I lift the glass for a sniff and get coffee, chocolate and scorched grain. The taste is broader than the scent and that is good. The coffee is strong, pecans, bitter chocolate, malt and a fortunate touch of toffee sweetness to break it up. Plenty of bitterness and there's a small burn as it goes down. Chewy in sensation. Good but a pint should be enough.
