A customary ale of Dusseldorf. A full-bodied yet smooth, flavorful brew with a brilliant amber color from a mix of German Pilsner, Munich, and Crystal malts, and balanced out with Saphir and Spalt hops.

Draft at Eureka with dinner. Paired nicely with fig and goat cheese burger. Amber colored. Nose so bread and caramel. Tastes of caramel, earthy, bread crust,, golden raisins. Medium bodied and semi sweet finish.

This 12 oz bottle was found at the Fredericksburg HEB last month. Keeping it as local as I can, I have my ABGB tulip glass in place for the tasting. Lift the top now and pour. A no-surprise amber liquid with a top of settling, icy white foam. I can smell grain, hops and malt, also no surprise. The taste is the same as the scent with perhaps a small bit of caramel too. Decent, not great, all ambers are mostly similar to me, maybe this one is more bitter than others.
