My stovepipe can of Battle Horse came from a Total Wine I believe, which one, who knows. The label calls this an IPA, at 8% abv it is a in-betweener with DIPA. No matter to that. My glass this evening is the lightly used shaker. The pour gives me a dark, orange-amber body with a thin but steady top of biscuit tan foam. I smell a nice amount of pine, some grass, perhaps a bit of citrus, nothing extraordinary. I lift the glass and take a drink. A big improvement. Malt in abundance, hops, a little toffee sweetness, orange rind, field and resin. Quite dense, good and chewy. A substantial IPA/DIPA. Martin House is a pretty decent brewery.
