12 ounce can from Niemuth’s, 8/23/23. Hazy gold, thin off-white head, poor retention. Aroma of pale malt, phenols. Weird. Taste is pale malt, a phenolic chemical note. Menthol-ish. This is weird. This is bad. Pass.

Mainstream IPAs are now NE style, I get it. But crisp would lean more towards a description of WC style, imho. So let us check this one out. My 12 oz can was purchased at the nearest HEB recently, I do not see a born-on stamp on the bottom. I have the oft-used ABGB tulip glass catching the pour this evening. The sight is a clear, light to medium yellow-gold liquid with no head to speak of. The smell does straddle the line, some resin and a bit of tropical. I have a taste. Pleasant but not memorable. Grapefruit lightly, malt, a hint of pineapple and perhaps some yellow fruit. Rather dry in sensation. I take it back, maybe crisp is an all right name.
