This pint can came recommended by Brandon at D&Q in Houston on visit there last month. Priced optimistically, I trust the beer is good. My Buffalo Bayou snifter is ready to receive the pour, I see an imperial stout as black as possible and no head to speak of. The smell is assuredly chocolate and perhaps some grain. But I'm here for the taste, yes, it is definitely heavy with chocolate along with toast, a bit of vanilla, a caramel sweetness, malt and some depth in the sensation. Tasty, certainly a pastry stout and one to linger over.
