This is a collaboration with the fine folks at Mollusk Brewing. These hops were originally found six years ago at an abandoned farm in the Skokomish Valley. Nick Browne - the owner/farmer at High Water - loves to explore the abandoned logging towns of the Olympic peninsula and found some hops growing at what was known as Camp 3. He dug up some rhizomes and began growing them at his farm. They are a cross of cluster and native hops. Hop farming was predominately done in the western half of the state until irrigation came to eastern Washington. They are a rare example of older hops grown with the terroir of western Washington, giving them a truly unique flavor. We also threw in the harvest from some Cascades hopvines...

Draft pour pint poured at Burke Gilman Brewing. Doesn't seem like there are as many fresh hop brews as previous years this year, but there are plenty of interesting new ones, like this one. Fun collab, and cool to see the brand new breweries in the area diving into the fresh hop game right away. A darker amber orange pour. A fresh aroma, if going off the first thought that comes to mind. Piney profile, cool and moderate to strong orange peel like bitterness late. Not too aggressive though. An easy drinker overall. Pretty dang good.
